Exile

Second screening of 'Exile' by Mehdi Hmili, in the Official Selection, with an in-person presentation. In one of Tunisia's largest steel mills, an accident leaves Mohamed with a metal fragment embedded in his head; as his body deteriorates, he embarks on a path of revenge that uncovers a plot far larger than his own survival.

Shot in sepia tones with a touch of rusty orange, it is the second film by the Tunisian director, presented at the Locarno Film Festival.
